Autumn in North Carolina is a bit schizophrenic. It IS. . . and it ISN’T. Even the trees aren’t sure.
In our garden, the roses, impatiens, and salvia are still blooming. But who would expect a rhododendron and an iris?
Elsewhere, strange things are going down:
And coming up:
There is the eerily pretty:
And the pretty darned eerie:
Cool spiders and specters:
Ghoul parties with victims:
I’d ring this doorbell only for See’s or Godiva!
This house? I’d require curb service.
It’s raining, so there are raindrops on the photos. And unfortunate accidents…
It’s enough to make one scream. . .

Lots of fun Halloween decor! I think Halloween is rivaling Christmas for outside decorations!

Great Halloween shots. Live that poor flat witch!
I see what you mean :-). Your photos are all wonderful. Those porches and yards look wonderful in their Halloween decor. Have a great Outdoor Wednesday.
Hey, maybe that witch was using her laptop instead of watching where she was going. Great photos!
Your neighborhood does Halloween with style! I’ve noticed less decorations here this season…maybe recession blues? It’s even going to effect the famous Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village….less sponsors.
Nice Outdoor Wednesday post Mary Lee!
Love the Halloween Decorations! SO much fun! Hope you have a great week, and Happy Halloween: )
Great Fall post ! Beautiful fickle tree. I do live in NC,, I was born here & have lived here all my life. 8~)

I came here for Outdoor Wednesday and ended up reading several of your posts which made me laugh out loud. I could relate to a few of them – especially the bathroom comments. I love your writing style and will definitely be back for more!
Now, as for your OW post, great shots. Love the indecisive maple tree. The Halloween decorations are very creative.
Thank you for sharing them with us.
