What Say You, Punxsutawney Phil?

Our Lenten Roses have been so confused that they’ve been hanging around since Christmas.  Our Jonquils want to know if they can raise their heads.

The damnsquirrels are casting too many shadows in our yard.

Does it count that I can see my shadow?

We don’t need Phil around here.

We have Jack.

I agree. Six more weeks of winter??? We haven’t had week one yet. Just noticed tons of new leaves on my Snapdragons. Didn’t know they were perennial plants. I always jerked them out after a freeze before.

    1. I had one snapdragon plant that hung around for several years. It was one that birds planted in a crack in our brick wall. I have dianthus that are blooming, I had white irises blooming Christmas. . . it’s crazy! No wonder you got rid of some coats. I haven’t worn mine all winter.

  2. Uh, if the grass were that green here, it would already be spring!! 🙂

Our nearest Canuck ground hog is called “Wiarton Willie.” 🙂

  3. Our Wiarton Willie predicted an early Spring for over here but I don’t know, we still have a mighty lot of snow on the ground yet and it’s cold! lol I think our groundhogs got things mixed up!!

We have a damnsquirrel that terrorizes the birds who are trying to feed in the bird feeders and on the ground. One of these days they’re gonna turn on him:-) xoxo

  4. I’m hoping for at least one good snowfall this year, since I went to the trouble of having my snow tires put on. I really haven’t minded not needing the heat so much, though. I figure Winter, if it comes at all, will finally arrive in the High Country when I’m trying to catch a plane to a conference in Orlando later this month….*sigh*
